Telegram Options Add Nearby People and Group Telegram Messenger Tricks Users on macOS now have a quick way to generate a custom profile picture – choose any sticker or animated emoji as the focus, and add a colorful gradient background. You can set one for your own profile, or as a group or channel photo – making it easy to create a themed icon for chats without searching for stock photos.
To do this, choose the items you want to send and tap on the three-dot menu. Now select “send without compression”, and you are good to go. To preview a chat, simply press and hold its profile picture in your chat list. Reminder on messaging apps has been one of the most sought-after features and finally, you can use it on Telegram. Recently, WhatsApp partnered with Any.do to bring Reminders, however, Telegram has implemented this feature natively. Though there is one lingering issue. You can only set reminders in the “Saved Messages” section. Type out the task and tap and hold the “send” button. Here, choose “set a reminder” and pick your date and time. Telegram will send a reminder notification just like Google Calendar or other task management apps. While the feature is good, we would have loved it more had it been available for user chats too. If you are using Telegram on your PC, Laptop, or another device, your secret chat is only visible to your device that you started it.

In Telegram, open a chat, tap the paper clip button, and choose Location to share it. While you can receive/send files irrespective of their type and size, you can disable automatic media download and auto-play media to save mobile data. Earlier, finding something by incessantly tapping on “next” was a tiring exercise. Now, you can just search for the term and tap on the “search bar” at the bottom to find all the search results in the list view.
